Administration Specialist

Professional Experience
Four (4) years experience in a professional or academic environment. Four (4) years experience in the use of the Microsoft Office product Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Two (2) years experience as an integral member of a support team plus one (1) year combined experience in any of the following: providing administrative support to an office; creating, reviewing, and editing documents; and working with databases. Strong personal computer and organization skills required, in addition to excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Job Description

  • Administer MS Project Server Functional Configuration and its values (based on the approved functional business requirements and subsequent approved change controls to the requirements).
  • General system monitoring and verification (to include connectivity between Project Server and Web Access and connectivity between Project Server and Microsoft Project Server and Web Access and connectivity between Project Server and Microsoft 2003).
  • Configuration and maintenance of approved reports/views etc. that do not require custom coding.
  • Testing of patches, hot fixes, service packs, etc.
  • Should have working knowledge of:
    • MS Project
    • MS Project Server
    • Server + SQL
    • Sharepoint Services
    • Windows Server Administration
    • Experience in Enterprise Project Management business process consulting is a plus.

Requirements

    • BS in computers preferred or equivalent work experience
    • Project Server Admin. experience Midlevel
    • Project Management experience junior to Midlevel
    • Knowledge of MS Enterprise Project and Project Server Environment and Administration
    • Knowledge of PC-based software programs like Act, MS Excel & MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Publisher, MS Project and MS Outlook.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience working with MS Technologies
    • Microsoft Certified System Engineer preferred.
