Independent Verification and Validation

Project Masters' Goal is to partner with our clients to apply industry best practices for developing and deploying our Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) with the highest level of quality. We augment existing customer management methods and expertise and develop a program tailored to meet our client’s specific needs. We analyze existing processes, introduce standard methods built on the Project Management Institute’s Capability model (CMM), mentor key stakeholders in the application on the benefits realized from applying standards, and develop and implement an efficient and effective IV&V program that includes the effective use of metrics to track and evaluate the status of the program/project.

Step 1: During this step Project Masters' team will conduct a review of the project situation. This is done by reviewing existing project documentation and one-to-one interviews with appropriate staff lasting about one hour each. Examples of the documentation required for review are:

One-to-one interviews will be conducted with key project people such as project board members, the project sponsor, project managers, program manager, key project team members, project support officers and business managers. The one-to-one meetings and the documentation / process reviews will be looking at the adequacy of the various processes, procedures, plans specifications etc. to deliver project success. Our entire focus will be on how the project can be recovered to deliver true benefit to the customers in a cost effective manner.

Step 2: During this step we will present a detailed report identifying our findings and prioritized recommendations. We will work with you to implement these recommendations to put together the best action plan for your organization.

Step 3: During this step is the preparation of a recovery plan that defines what has to be done, by when and who will do it.

Step 4: During this step, Project Masters' rescue team will implement the agreed upon recovery plan.
