In considering the value of having a well attended event, the board has decided that it is in the best interest for all involved to postpone the Professional Development Event (PDE) to March. We regret if this has caused any problems, but we stand by the decision and believe that it will be the best choice for all involved. As such, we are hoping that you will be able to work with us to move your presentation to the new date.
Tentatively, we are moving to March 14-15, 2014. If March 14/15 does not work, the backup date is March 7/8. We will know for sure by the end of the week, but wanted to give you plenty of notice. The board is also reconsidering the cost for Speakers attendance. Given the fact that we have more time to develop sponsors, which could offset the costs, we will likely remove the costs for Speakers to attend. This will not be determined until after a solid Cost Estimates for the new event are finalized, however that is the direction that we are headed.
Hopefully you will be able to reschedule with us and make this event the Phenomenal event that we anticipated. One of the other changes that we are making is to put added emphasis on the quality of presentations. The sooner we have your presentations confirmed, we will ensure that the Biographies and Abstracts associated with the tracks are posted to the Schedule – and added marketing including this information will be developed. You are going to be the main reason people are coming!
